Pastoral Care
At St John’s College we know the vital importance of ensuring every student has a significant adult to support them and a single point of contact between home and school.
In the Primary School, this role is taken by the classroom teacher. In the Secondary School, each class group is allocated a pastoral care teacher who supports the students to be aware of their rights and responsibilities within the College community, and to maximise attendance. We aim to develop the social and emotional well being of our students.
The foundation of our pastoral care program is to teach organisation, resilience, getting along, persistence and confidence through the ‘You Can Do It’ approach. Click here to learn more about the ‘You can do it!’ Program
