PRINCIPAL’S BULLETIN TERM 2, WEEK 3, 2022
Dear SJC Community,
Christos Anesti!
It has been another busy week at the College. If you are following our social media sites and checking the calendar on the website you will see a vast array of events are taking place each week. In efforts to keep this bulletin brief (I did receive feedback it can be a bit long), I will simply remind you to continue to check the SEQTA notices and College website to stay up to date. Thank you to Ms Drougas for organising wonderful lunchtime activities for the students.
Student Leadership
The Talk On Purpose is our main leadership development program for 2022. I am excited to see our students speaking publicly with confidence as well as hearing their talk about their life purpose this coming Monday. It has been wonderful to see our staff leaders working collaboratively with the students during this 6 week project.
Staff News
A warm welcome to Ms Rania Al Sheik our new Senior School math teacher who begins in two weeks.
Sadly Ms Pattinson will not return to SJC from family leave, however, we are delighted that Ms Sokolis will remain with the College long term.
Ms Loizou has exciting news: she and her family are moving to Hong Kong later this year! For this reason, an English Humanities teacher vacancy has been advertised commencing Term 3. Students may see Ms Loizou as a CRT over Semester 2 as she prepares for her next big life adventure. We will miss her and hope she returns to work at SJC one day.
We have a new part-time position for Careers and VASS Coordinator (Generalist Staff Position) which is also advertised on SEEK.
Please encourage those you know who may like to work at the College to take a look at the advertisements on SEEK and apply.
The cold and flu season is upon us so please be sure to practise good hygiene.
Stay safe and God Bless,
Mrs Urban
Principal
